Some of the requirements of a Diplomate include:
- Prerequisite require active ICOI membership, fellowship, or mastership
- Provide a list of 120 completed implant cases with extensive information on the type of implant, restoration, and current status of the implant.
- Provide documentation of at least 250 continuing education (CEU) hours in the preceding five years.
- Submit evidence of at least one article authored or co-authored or a case report on implant dentistry, or present at least two lectures at implant meetings within the last 5 years.
- Present two letters of recommendation from ICOI Diplomats or members of the ICOI’s Advanced Credentials Committee
- Attend an ICOI Diplomate examination
