Dental Implants San Jose CA dentist Dr. Keith Cooper wants to share a new type of implant shape that is said to improve the fit of the implant, as well as accelerate the process of osseointegration.
Just this morning, the MIS team announced the introduction is this triangular- shaped V3 dental implant that has been in the “works” for the last two years. “The unique triangular- shape of the V3 implant’s coronal portion has been designed to encourage bone regeneration, resulting in the gain of greater volume of bone in support of stable surrounding soft tissues for more aesthetic restorations.”
According to Elad Ginat, the Product Manager, the shape of the dental implant is what matters most. This new implant was designed with three compression- free gaps at the sides, which allows the stability and durability of implant’s integration, as well as the reduction of bone compression. These gaps are said to function as a catalyst for the bone growth due to their excess space that encourages blot clot formation at the bone- implant interface. “The V3 provides doctors with a more advantageous starting point; where greater volume of bone and soft tissue is achieved at the onset of implant placement- so less titanium and more bone and soft tissue are available from the start.”
Apparently this dental implant functions more than just a generic implant and possesses properties that allow it to transition with “platform switching, a variable thread and self- tapping capability, micro- rings, a concave inter- thread for maximum BIC, and a flat apex supporting immediate placement engagement. It’s also a multi-use implant, suitable for all clinical indications and bone types and is especially suited for anterior regions, or where space and bone may be limited and good aesthetics are essential.”
So far dentists and scientists have created a few different ways in which to install implants on a same-day- basis, however this one seems to the innovative prototype that is able to provide this service, while initiating bone regeneration almost immediately. Elad explains that this new implant will revolutionize the way that doctors can implement these implants into their patients’ mouths without having to learn new protocol. The V3 is said to operate just as most dental implants and the surgical kit is supposed to significantly simplify procedures for the doctor and the patient.
There are big hopes and a bright future for this implant advancement that are predicted to be delivering consistent and impressive feats due to the progressive structure of the device. Elad claims that the implant is taking on a universal approach that takes into consideration the entire structure; the innovative implant and the advanced prosthetic appliance. The triangular V3 design allows the gain of a greater volume of bone and soft tissue- the concave emergence profile of the abutment is designed to take full advantage of that volume gain.
Dr. Cooper is fully anticipating the arrival of the V3 and looking forward to the many lives he could change with the technology. Dental implants are a great solution for patients that are missing a tooth or teeth and want to change their dental and oral futures. If the properties of this new dental implant are as successful as they claim, there is an exciting new world ahead for patients that need artificial teeth.
